Do you want more Google reviews? Your answer is unlikely to be no. Google reviews improve your SEO, your brand reputation and the decisions prospective customers make about you when considering whether to buy your products and services.

How to get the link for customers to leave a Google review

So, wouldn’t it be great if you could make it as easy as possible for your customer to leave you an online Google review?

If you’ve plucked up courage to ask a customer for a review, you’re going to feel a whole lot more comfortable providing them with the most efficient way to do this.

If your customer is busy, they may very well want to leave you a review, but just don’t have the time. It could be one click away too many to first of all go into their browser, then find you in a Google search, which depending on how they search for you, may involve some scrolling, find the Leave a review area once they find you, which they may very well have to scroll down to find, depending on their display setup, and that’s before they even type out what they want to say!

A one-click link to your Google review

The best thing you can do, for more Google reviews from your customers, is send them the one-click link to cut out all the navigating they’d otherwise have to do. It’s very easy to find, and – big bonus – it looks infinitely more professional on your part.

How to get the link – 3 steps

  1. Login to your Google My Business account
  2. In the main navigation area, find the panel titled, Get more reviews, and click the box in this area titled, Share review form
  3. You’ll have the option to simply click to copy the link, or to share through Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or email

Your can share your link that takes customers directly to your review area in whatever way makes the most sense for you and your customers. Consider what will be the most convenient way for you. A personalised email with the link copied in, saying something like, “Here’s the link, to make it easy, for you to leave a review of my services”, is just one way you might consider.

With the best intentions, without providing your customer with the easy way to Google review you, you are simply upping the chances of them being too busy to bother. And isn’t this just another opportunity to demonstrate your professionalism, efficiency and consideration?

Good luck getting in those reviews!
