Cultrix, your local IT services company, is now launching Google Apps to ensure we can meet all the IT needs of all of our customers. With an increase in the workplace of BYOD (bring your own device), and the sheer pace of change in what we need IT to accomplish for us commercially, Microsoft’s enterprise solutions aren’t always going to be the right solution for every customer. And because we always put our customers’ IT needs first, our eye is always on the market’s new products and developments, so we have expanded our services portfolio accordingly.
For those who don’t know, Google Apps for business offers a cloud-based solution, with desktop software being purely optional. This means that all you need is a web browser as Google Apps works across virtually all platforms whether it be PC, iMac, Linux, mobile or tablet. Of course, being a cloud model from Google, the benefits are many-fold: the risk of data breech is reduced by 70% as the need for USB memory sticks is eliminated; 99.9% service uptime is guaranteed; and the security level is exceptional due to a two-step authentication process. In order to access data from an unrecognised device, customers will need to enter a randomly generated six-digit pin that’s either sent to them via SMS or generated by the Google authenticator app. No unauthorised access is possible. We think it’s a great product with superb benefits, which is why Cultrix is offering it as one of their services.
Customers pay us to look after their IT support, but at Cultrix we do much more than this.
