Did you know that from April 8th Microsoft will end any support for Windows XP? This means that any security bugs discovered after this date will not be fixed. Any businesses that run Windows XP beyond the April 8th deadline are putting their data, and therefore their business at risk.

Attention! The Microsoft support for Windows XP ends on April 8th 2014!

If this is the situation you find yourself in, then it is paramount that any of your computers running Windows XP be upgraded to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 as soon as possible; and any computers that are too old to run either of these should be decommissioned and replaced.

It may sound expensive, but not as expensive as a data leak because of a security breach; take a look at recent fines issued by the ICO to UK companies. If you continue to run Windows XP machines and are infected by malicious software that exploits an unpatched security hole in Windows XP, resulting in your customer data being leaked, your company could see a fine of up to £500,000 for data breaches, especially in sensitive environments.

If you are still running Windows XP, you simply cannot afford to.

At Cultrix, as you can imagine, we’re making it our priority to upgrade our customers from Windows XP to the newer versions of Windows, or if that’s not possible to upgrade their hardware. If you would like us to help you do this and ensure the security of your business and your data, then please give us a call on 01226 736673
