In this day and age, cybersecurity is becoming more and more important. Computer viruses, trojans and other malicious software can put your organisation and its data at risk.

Are you protected?

Getting protected with an antivirus is the first, and arguably most important, step to protecting your organisation. An antivirus can prevent many of the cyber-nasties out there from infecting your computer and the network it resides on. A computer virus, and other types of malware can be incredibly inconvenient. They can stop you or a colleague from being able to work well, or even at all. Ad-ware and so called browser hijackers can make it difficult to browse the internet and use your computer. They will often redirect you to advertisements and other content that is malicious and/or not safe for work (NSFW). Other types of malware can stop you from working altogether by locking up and crashing your computer, making it virtually impossible to get anything done.

It's not just the inconvenience to be wary of. In the UK, the ICO can issue fines for data leaks. These fines can vary but may run into hundreds of thousands of pounds if sensitive personal data is breached under the data protection act. You can view some of the ICO fines on their website. Unfortunately no antivirus is perfect. New threats arise everyday. However, antvirus companies are constantly working hard to find threats before they find you. Getting protected via an antivirus is the best line of defence from some of the nasties out there on the internet.

Ensure that you and your organisation are protected and you don't fall victim to many of the cyber-nasties out there.
